My Story
Resilience and Creativity: My Journey

My story began with a fight against the odds. Born with a severe heart condition and Down syndrome, my early years were a mix of challenges and determination. My mother, unwavering in her love, took me to the United States for surgery and rehabilitation. Through her ingenuity, she even modified a chair to help me strengthen my neck muscles, allowing me to lift my head and see the world in a new way.
Despite the hurdles, I graduated from Renai Elementary, Renai Junior High, Jinou Girls' High School, and the Digital Media Department at Chinese Culture University. Along the way, I became known for my kind heart, lively spirit, and a few tears now and then. My passions? They range from technology and music to the arts. I dream of opening a cotton candy store chain one day, and in the meantime, I immerse myself in dancing, drawing, and playing the piano.
But the true turning point in my journey came in sixth grade when I met Teacher Chen YinChun. She didn’t just teach me how to paint; she opened up a world of creativity. With her guidance, I explored acrylics, watercolors, sketching, and even photography. We ventured into the city’s cultural hubs, capturing the beauty of everyday life and the playful charm of sea turtles. Through these experiences, I found my unique artistic voice.
Teacher Chen’s influence extends beyond art; she has filled my life with inspiration and joy. Her books, rich in Chinese cultural essence, and her unwavering encouragement have been a beacon of light in my journey. I’m forever grateful to have her as a mentor.
